Document Feeder Tray Side Guides Adjustment

Adjustments and settings can be made to the DS-63 | M3300 for ease of operation.


When loading documents, the side guides of Document Feeder 1 and Document Feeder 2 can be adjusted for the correct document size.

Adjusting the side guides of the Document Feeder will help prevent a document from skewing and causing a jam.

Step 1 - Remove The Document Feeder Tray
• Push the document feeder tray release lever downward.
• Lift the document feeder tray upward to unhook it and remove it from the feeder.

To adjust the document feeder side guides, it is easier to remove the document feeder tray.

Step 2 - Loosen Document Feeder Tray Adjustment Knob
• Loosen the adjustment knob half a turn.

Step 3 - Adjust The Side Guides
• Grasping the side guides in the middle, push them apart as far as possible.
• Place a small stack of documents in the document feeder tray between the side guides.
• Grasping the side guides in the middle, push them toward the documents.

The space between the side guides and the documents should be such that the documents have just enough play to move freely.

Step 4 - Tighten The Document Feeder Tray Adjustment Knob
• Tighten the adjustment knob.
• Remove the stack of documents.

Step 5 - Reinstall The Document Feeder Tray
• Hold the document feeder slightly inclined as shown in the figure.

Step 6 - Reinstall The Document Feeder Tray
• Place the front end of the document feed tray underneath the two rollers.

Step 7 - Reinstall The Document Feeder Tray
• Move the document feeder tray upward, lifting the two rollers until the hooks lock into the mounting points on both sides.

Step 8 - Fill The Document Feeder Tray
• Open the left-hand side guide by turning it downward. The feed rollers will automatically lift.
• Place a stack of documents between the side guides.
• Turn the left-hand side guide upward to its original position.

Step 9 - Feed Documents
• The document feeder tray is ready to feed documents.
